Locum to Perm - Physician - Hospitalist

Overview Job Description for Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology We are looking for a doctor who wants to work in a hospital that focuses on providing excellent care for pregnant women and their babies. Duties You will care for about 13 to 14 patients each day in different settings, including the hospital, clinic, and during patient visits. Work Schedule You will work five to six shifts each month. Each shift is 24 hours long, starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:00 AM the next day. You will also work some weekends, following the same 24-hour schedule as on weekdays. There are no additional on-call hours for this job. Delivery Information You can expect to handle an average of 4 to 5 births each 24-hour shift. Most births will be natural, with about 25% being C-sections. You must have experience in delivering babies. Requirements You must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. You need to have current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license before starting. You must have the proper state medical license for California or be in the process of getting it. You don’t need to have completed a fellowship. It’s preferred but not mandatory to have 1 to 5 years of work experience in this field. We offer a good salary based on your experience, which will be discussed during the interview. We also accept candidates who want to work as independent contractors. Qualifications Be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology — THIS IS REQUIRED. Please share how many deliveries you have done in a year. You must have BLS, ACLS, and DEA certification before starting the job. You must have a current California medical license or be in the process of getting one. If you have a history of malpractice or licensing issues, please let us know during the application.
