Account Manager

Job Description

Overview of Role:

The Account Manager owns the organization’s most strategic enterprise client relationships end-to-end, with dedicated focus on a small, high-value portfolio rather than a broad, mixed book. This role operates as a senior individual contributor with significant autonomy on complex accounts, driving growth strategy directly while partnering with the Senior Director and Account Director on deal execution and complex negotiations.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day and strategic relationship management for a focused portfolio of enterprise accounts.
\n
• Own and drive the growth strategy for assigned accounts, including identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities.
\n
• Escalate to the Senior Director, Client Strategy and/or Account Director as needed for deal execution, contract negotiation, or complex resourcing decisions.
\n
• Drive retention, expansion, and renewal outcomes across the enterprise portfolio.
\n
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for their accounts on complex or executive-level matters.
\n
• Serve as internal quarterback for assigned accounts, coordinating internal team efforts and partnering with Project Management on delivery and implementation.
\n
• Model account planning and relationship-management practices that inform the broader team.
\n
• Develop project scopes, proposals, and presentations in collaboration with internal teams.
\n
• Update the CRM to reflect client and deal status.
\n
• Support the deal process, including SOW preparation and client negotiations.

Requirements:

\n

\n
• 5+ years in client-facing account management, business development, or client relations
\n
• Experience managing pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industry accounts required
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred
\n
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings and conferences
\n
• Change management experience is a plus
