Production Planner

A leading manufacturing company in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a sharp, results-driven Production Planner!

If you thrive in a fast-paced electronics assembly environment and enjoy turning complex production needs into smooth, executable schedules, this is the position for you. You'll work closely with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to keep assembly lines moving and deliver top-quality products on time.

salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly master production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and stock levels.

• Support production capacity for designated product groups, directing work priorities for operational teams (approx. 10 assemblers).

• Analyze production capacity, labor availability, and line utilization to optimize manufacturing efficiency and minimize downtime.

• Release, manage, and track manufacturing work orders within the ERP/MRP system.

• Partner with Purchasing to ensure raw component availability, monitor work-in-process (WIP), track finished goods, and avoid inventory bottlenecks.

• Coordinate continuously with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve shop-floor delays, technical blockers, or component shortages.

• Track operational KPIs, prepare inventory and production status reports, and communicate schedule adjustments across departments.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/5S) and maintain strict adherence to quality management standards and safety protocols.
