Business Analyst, Investment Compliance

Overview Invesco is seeking a Business Analyst, Investment Compliance within the Global Investment Compliance Change team. The role supports delivery of change initiatives across the Investment Compliance (IC) function, interpreting investment restrictions from regulations and client agreements, implementing controls in systems, and monitoring compliance pre- and post-trade. The analyst collaborates with investment teams to improve how Investment Compliance operates, including its tools, workflows, and controls, and works with global teams across IC, technology, data, and operations to enable consistent, scalable delivery. Responsibilities Stakeholder partnership and delivery: Collaborate with IC, data, technology, and operations teams to support change initiatives; contribute to defined deliverables; ensure work is completed accurately and on time; coordinate across global teams to track progress, raise issues, and advance work. Problem solving and analysis: Break down business problems, support practical solutions, analyze data and process flows to identify issues and improvement opportunities; conduct root cause analysis with clearly documented findings. Data analysis and insight generation: Work with datasets such as trades, holdings, restrictions, and breaches; use tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, and AI-enabled productivity tools to generate insights and link analysis to business outcomes and control impacts. Communication and documentation: Present findings clearly; produce organized documentation to support requirements, analysis, testing, and delivery; contribute to stakeholder materials. Requirements and change delivery: Gather, document, and validate business requirements; assist with traceability; contribute to testing activities including UAT support, test case preparation, validation, and issue tracking. Process improvement and change: Identify process and workflow improvements; support implementation through structured change activity; contribute to tool, reporting, and process enhancements across IC; Tools, automation, and AI adoption: Enhance dashboards, reporting, knowledge management, and workflow tools; use AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency with governance; identify automation opportunities and better data usage across the team. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field. Ability to analyze problems, structure thinking, and contribute to practical solutions, gathered through academic work, internships, or early career experience. Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or the ability to learn quickly and use AI tools to support analysis and documentation. Experience contributing to projects and structured deliverables in a team setting; exposure to testing activities and structured testing approaches. Evident curiosity, growth mindset, and self-directed learning; willingness to learn new tools and concepts to improve outcomes. Exposure to financial services, asset management, compliance, or order management systems is preferred. Compensation and Workplace Salary range for this position in New York is $75,000–$105,000 per year, with total compensation including incentives varying by skills and location. Full-time position with Exempt status as applicable. Invesco expects adherence to its workplace policy regarding office presence, currently requiring four full days per week in the office as of October 1, 2025.
