Required Skills & Experience:

• 0-2 years of industrial maintenance experience OR a 2-year industrial maintenance-related degree

• Mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Experience performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and equipment inspections

• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical systems

• Experience with conveyors, motors, bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, or similar industrial equipment

• Comfortable working overnight shifts and overtime as needed

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment

• Ability to obtain a client security access badge

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II for a leading manufacturing client in Waukesha, WI. This candidate will join a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians responsible for supporting production equipment and facility systems in a large-scale industrial environment. The technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, conduct mechanical inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete routine repairs on conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and other manufacturing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level maintenance professionals, military veterans, or recent technical school graduates looking to develop their industrial maintenance skills while working in a highly automated manufacturing environment supporting critical electrical infrastructure products used across utilities, industrial facilities, and data centers.

Day-to-Day:

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment

• Inspect motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, and related mechanical systems

• Conduct equipment lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and minor repairs

• Gather data for predictive maintenance programs using vibration, oil, ultrasound, and infrared technologies

• Complete corrective actions identified through predictive maintenance findings

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks through CMMS

• Inspect and receive lubricant deliveries

• Troubleshoot production equipment with limited supervision

• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and job hazard analyses

• Utilize hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic equipment to support maintenance activities

• Recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment reliability

• Support production uptime across a large manufacturing facility
