Responsibilities

In this job you will:

• Directly manage 25 – 45 hourly employees
• Lead multiple production departments on the 1st shift
• Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of your departments
• Maintain budget for labor efficiencies in your department
• Champion continuous improvement in the department (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving)
• Reward and follow corrective action guidelines as needed with employees
• Interview, hire, train, coach, and develop employees

Qualifications

The ideal Production Department Manager will meet the following qualifications:

• Associate's/Bachelor's degree and/or 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Team player with demonstrated servant leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion and the ability to motivate and lead others
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is preferred
• Experience with operating systems, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Oracle, SAP, WMS
• Bi-Lingual capacity is not required for the role, but is preferred
