Small Business Controller

What your future day will look like: Review and process Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger Perform quarterly reporting and month end closing Calculate 1099s, W-2s, bi‑weekly payroll, and monthly commissions Oversee employee onboarding and benefits Perform job costing and verify material and labor costs Manage fixed asset reporting Oversee subcontractor labor and customer contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance Prequalify submittals for general contractors and upcoming bids Audit compilation for general liability, workers' comp insurance audits, and government payroll filings Calculate and file sales and property taxes Apply for business licenses for new jobsites Assist in other office related duties when needed Benefits Offered PTO Paid Holidays Fifty Percent coverage of employee health/dental insurance premiums Type: Direct hire Qualifications 5+ years of general accounting experience Clean personal credit Construction accounting experience a strong plus.
