Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - RN or LPN

Location: Galesburg, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 Annually

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing team and help ensure the highest standards of clinical quality and resident care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations, support, mentor, and develop nursing staff, and monitor resident conditions to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations

• Support, mentor, and develop nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery

• Monitor resident conditions and ensure accurate, compliant documentation

• Assist in maintaining survey readiness and regulatory compliance

• Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives

• Conduct clinical rounding to support staff and residents

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families

• Help foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion

Requirements:

• Active RN or LPN license (required)

• Previous leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory standards

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• A passion for delivering resident-centered care
