Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join our Pulmonary team in an outpatient-only setting. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care in partnership with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, supporting continuity of care for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions
* Collaborate closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to manage shared patient panels
* Conduct follow-up visits, medication management, and care plan adjustments
* Coordinate care across specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures
* Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and preventive care
* Review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and lab results
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Practice Details
* 100% outpatient pulmonary clinic
* No inpatient responsibilities
* Work alongside a collaborative team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians
* Established patient base with strong referral network
* Supportive clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
* Board certified (or eligible)
* Active or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
* Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine preferred, but not required
* Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule & Work Environment
* Full-time, weekday schedule
* No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
