Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Job Title Accounts Payable Specialist Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Acctg Work Schedule and Other Information Brief Description Under general direction, the ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST is responsible for providing data analysis, project management and technical assistance required to meet HRSD's financial obligations. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for efficiently and professionally managing the accounts payable function in line with HRSD priorities and best practices, with the goal of meeting or surpassing the satisfaction of both internal and external clients. Implementing financial transaction analysis, vendor account analysis, and work process analysis to ensure the accounting integrity of the Accounts Payable module. Cultivate collaborative partnerships with suppliers to streamline the process of resolving invoice discrepancies and ensuring proper recording and filing. Job Requirements
Education Required • High school diploma Experience
Required • Three years general accounting experience with minimum two years of Accounts Payable experience Desired • Associate's degree in accounting or related field Licenses and Certifications Requirements • Accounts Payable Certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
