Role summary / purpose
This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects. Employees in this role provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, and staffing considerations during the estimating process.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare capital cost estimates
- Review designs and specifications for cost-effectiveness
- Suggest alternatives when appropriate
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources
- Remain current with technology and industry evolution to anticipate correct market conditions in capital estimates
- Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements - education & experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- 0 - 5 years of experience in assisting with the development, quantification, and costing of capital expenditure (CapEx) models under supervision
