Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery (PACU)

Unit Highlights

Join a dynamic team in the Day Surgery unit, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

General Information

  • Location: Lewisville, TX
  • Shift Details: Variable
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Special Skills/Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Floating Policy: As needed
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills:

    • Current Active RN License in Texas (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
    • ACLS certification
    • PALS certification
    • BLS certification
    • Experience in a Day Surgery or PACU environment
    • 2+ years of RN experience
    • Experience with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Meditech documentation system

Dress Code
  • Scrubs: Provided by the facility
  • Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails or gel.
  • Hair: Must be neat and clean; extreme styles or colors are not permitted.
  • Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; visible tattoos addressed individually.
  • Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; other visible piercings are prohibited.
