Job Description

We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals for a Long-Term Care facility in Vestal, NY. This position involves a night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Candidates must have previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing settings, specifically dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform medication passes accurately and safely.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active New York State nursing license required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing.
• Ability to pass a medication administration test and clinical observation.
• Organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Personable and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record are essential.

Schedule and Expectations

• Shift: Night schedule, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Weekend work is required every other weekend based on facility needs.
• Must be dependable and flexible regarding scheduling needs.
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be approved at the time of submission and cannot be changed thereafter.
• Attendance is critical; call-outs must be provided with more than 24 hours' notice.

Additional Information

Orientation for new hires takes place every two weeks. This position is ideal for first-time travelers, and the client is open to accepting applications from local candidates.
