Contract Specialist (Healthcare) – Contract Opportunity

Location: Bellaire, TX 77401

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support a leading healthcare organization in the Houston area. This position is responsible for assisting with provider network operations, contract administration, and provider services activities in a managed healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working within healthcare or managed care settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team while supporting critical provider contracting and network functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and research Letters of Intent (LOIs) and prepare documentation for committee meetings, including network analysis and mapping activities.
• Monitor provider reimbursement updates and assist with implementing necessary changes.
• Prepare and distribute provider welcome packets, denial letters, and related correspondence.
• Receive, track, and manage internal and external service requests to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Process provider database updates and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and process single-case agreements and other provider-related documentation.
• Support contract administration activities and provider services operations.
• Maintain compliance with departmental procedures and service-level expectations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of provider information.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare or managed healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of the managed healthcare environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Experience utilizing databases and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting provider relations, network management, credentialing, or contract administration functions.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement structures and provider services processes.
• Experience working with healthcare databases and reporting tools.
