Industrial Machine Maintenance and Operation

$18 - $20 per hour

Job Description

K&S Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced, mechanically skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician / Equipment Operator to maintain and operate heavy-duty tire recycling equipment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain tire shredders, steel liberators, conveyors, screens and related equipment
Diagnose mechanical failures and production problems
Change/adjust shredder knives, screens and wear components
Replace/maintain bearings, shafts, belts, chains, sprockets and rollers
Inspect motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics
Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication
Safely clear jams using proper LOTO procedures
Operate Bobcat/skid steer to load and move material
Identify abnormal heat, vibration, noise and wear before failures occur

Requirements

Industrial maintenance/mechanical experience
Strong troubleshooting ability
Experience with bearings, conveyors and mechanical components
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout
Ability to operate a Bobcat/skid steer
Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Welding/fabrication and electrical troubleshooting are preferred.
