Registered Nurse (RN) L&D - PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Job Type: PRN | Variable Schedule: 12-hour shifts. May include days, nights, weekends and holidays. PRN, as needed. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 14-bed Women’s Services Unit, which includes a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and an 8-bed Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby Unit. The unit averages 50 deliveries per month with a below‑average C‑section rate, providing comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns. Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age. Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record. Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire. One year of nursing experience preferred. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
