Registered Nurse (RN) PACU - PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Job Type: PRN – Days Schedule: Overtime 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts, PRN as needed. Job Overview Harris Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to work in our 4‑bay PACU of the surgical department. The RN will provide post‑operative care for a diverse set of patients, including general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedic, ENT, urology, bronchoscopies, dental extractions and pediatric dental. Responsibilities Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs. Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions. Provides care appropriate to condition and age of patient. Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Performs timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. Preferred: One year of experience in a PACU or similar setting. Strong critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and work effectively in a stressful environment.
