Greg Mehrhoff State Farm Agency in Bellport, NY is seeking a motivated professional with experience in financial planning, financial services, or a related field who is interested in building a long-term career in insurance, financial services, and business leadership.

We are looking for someone with the education, professional foundation, and entrepreneurial mindset to become a key contributor within our agency, with the potential to pursue the State Farm Agent Aspirant path and ultimately explore the opportunity to become a State Farm independent contractor agent.

What You'll Do

You will work closely with agency leadership while developing experience across the insurance and financial services business.

Responsibilities include:

• Build relationships with prospective and existing customers

• Conduct needs-based conversations to understand insurance and financial objectives

• Identify insurance and financial-services opportunities

• Develop new relationships through proactive outreach, referrals, and business development

• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities

• Work with licensed team members to deepen customer relationships

• Learn the sales, service, financial, and operational disciplines of running a successful agency

• Participate in structured coaching, training, and professional development

• Work toward additional licenses and professional credentials

• Demonstrate the production, leadership, judgment, and accountability necessary for advancement

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, financial planning, economics, business, accounting, or another relevant field

• Experience in financial planning, financial services, banking, investments, insurance, or a related client-facing profession

• Ability to discuss financial concepts confidently and professionally

• A consultative, needs-based approach to customer relationships

Existing Licenses Are a Plus

Existing licenses are not required, but candidates with relevant licenses or registrations will receive additional consideration.

We are particularly interested in:

• SIE, Series 6, Series 63, Series 65, and/or Series 66
  
  
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license
  
  
• Life & Health (L&H) license
  
  

Candidates without appropriate licenses should be prepared to pursue the licenses and credentials necessary for their responsibilities and continued development.

This position provides hands-on experience in customer acquisition, insurance planning, financial services, relationship management, sales, agency operations, and leadership.

As you demonstrate results and develop professionally, you can earn greater production and leadership responsibilities.

For candidates interested in business ownership, this position can also provide valuable experience while exploring the State Farm Agent Aspirant opportunity and developing an understanding of what it takes to operate an insurance and financial services business.
