Location:  Cape Girardeau, MO

Pay: $17.38 - $19.78/hour (Depending on experience) + shift differentials

Floating Pay: $18.59 - $20.99/hour

Community Counseling Center (CCC) offer's shift differentials for Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) Staff who work on Evening and Overnight shifts at its residential facilities.

Evening Shift: +$.50/hour per hour worked on Evenings.

Overnight Shift: +#1.00/hour per hour worked on overnights.

Shifts Available:

32 Hour Shift Schedule:

Evening Shift:

• Wednesday 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Saturday/Sunday 7:00pm - 7:00am

Full Time: 

Floating Shift: 

• Shifts vary depending on program needs.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and overnights

PRN

• Typically 1 shift per week , any shift depending on need and your availability

Program:

The Lou Masterman Center is a seven - bed Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) program serving adults with chronic mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and personality disorders. Many clients experience severe behavioral/emotional challenges and require structure, stability, and long-term support. 

Job Duties:

1. Provide care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment based on a trauma informed approach.
2. Participate in recreational and social activities with clients.
3. Promote and educate clients regarding activities of daily living including household management (i.e., attending to bedroom, laundry, etc.) and self-care management (i.e., hygiene, grooming, medication, etc.) tasks and responsibilities.
4. Teach functional living skills such as anger management techniques, impulse control, social/communication skills, relaxation skills, emotional coping skills, etc. based on the client's individual treatment plan.
5. Collaborate closely with the treatment team to appropriately coordinate client care services.
6. Complete and chart client observations in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
7. Conduct ongoing checks; including personal belongings, room checks, and grounds checks based on agency policy and procedure.
8. Ensure protective oversight of clients, monitor the condition of clients, and follow agency policy and procedure regarding medical emergencies or elopement.
9. Cleaning of the facility and grounds as needed.
10. Intervene in behavioral health crisis situations when needed.
11. Distribute medications and document based on agency policy and procedure. Immediately report medication errors based on agency protocol.
12. Responsible for transporting clients in agency and/or personal vehicle as deemed necessary and appropriate to meet program requirements.
13. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED/HSE
• Must hold Valid Driver's License (Class E for Missouri or Class D for IL Residents - Obtain on start date) and current continuous auto insurance.
