Work Environment

The PTA position is onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, which operates within a hospital setting. Our environment is designed to support effective rehabilitation with access to advanced therapeutic equipment and modalities. Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans that aim to improve patients' functional abilities.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, performing manual therapy, and applying modalities as specified in patients' plans of care.
• Monitoring patient progress by recording relevant data and providing timely feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educating patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and safety measures during therapy sessions.
• Setting up and operating therapeutic equipment, ensuring it is ready for patient use.
• Documenting patients' responses and treatment sessions accurately, communicating any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment area to support efficient operations.
• Assisting with administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and record management, as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adults recovering from surgeries, injuries, and managing chronic conditions, as well as athletes looking to enhance their functional performance. Our approach emphasizes personalized care, where you'll help patients from various backgrounds navigate their rehabilitation journeys, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Current California State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, having graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Proficient understanding of physical therapy treatment techniques, including a strong foundation in therapeutic modalities.
• Superior communication skills to effectively build rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to meticulously follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• CPR/BLS certification is required for this role.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinic management software is preferred.

Preferred Experience
