Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting initial patient evaluations and ongoing assessments, ensuring each patient is treated with kindness and respect.
• Adapt treatment plans and provide therapeutic exercises under the direction of the Physical Therapist, prioritizing patient needs and comfort.
• Instruct patients in proper techniques for performing exercises and therapeutic activities while monitoring for safety and effectiveness.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and therapeutic heat/cold applications to alleviate pain and enhance recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and post-care that can be performed at home, fostering independence and self-care.
• Thoroughly monitor and document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any adjustments made to care plans in a meticulous manner.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, contributing to the overall management of the rehabilitation program and enhancing treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse range of patients experiencing physical limitations due to injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California.
• At least two years of clinical experience, demonstrating competence in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
• Solid understanding of physical therapy principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for patient care.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to explain procedures effectively and engage with patients and their families.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure timely documentation and patient management.

• Previous work experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
