Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36-Hour Weekly Guarantee

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on patient acuity
• Collaborate with a support team including telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to support Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Participate in unit rounds alongside nursing leadership

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical acute care setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical units and ICU (Medical Surgical overflow)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current PALS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with pediatric Medical Surgical patient populations
