Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36-Hour Weekly Guarantee

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds, with a heavy emphasis on telemetry monitoring
• Demonstrate strong Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention skills
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on acuity level
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Collaborate with on-unit support staff including telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• Utilize Sunrise Allscripts EMR for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience
• Strong proficiency in Neuro and Cardiac nursing skills
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical units and ICU (MS overflow patients only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Prior experience with Sunrise Allscripts EMR
