Accounting Manager

Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing organization and provide steady leadership across core accounting functions. This fully remote opportunity is based in Fresno, California, and offers the chance to guide a small team while helping maintain accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in accounting operations, team supervision, and financial analysis, with the ability to support business performance in a fast-moving environment.Responsibilities:• Direct, coach, and evaluate a three-person accounting team, fostering accountability and consistent execution across daily and monthly activities.• Manage essential accounting operations such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entry review, and timely month-end close completion.• Verify the accuracy of financial transactions by ensuring proper application of debits, credits, and supporting documentation within accounting systems.• Work closely with organizational leadership to strengthen financial reporting, monitor cash flow trends, and improve accounting procedures.• Establish and uphold internal control practices that support compliance and protect the integrity of financial data.• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and performance-to-plan reporting to support informed decision-making.• Utilize Famous software and advanced Excel tools to build reports, organize financial data, and improve visibility into operational results.• Assist with audit preparation and collaborate with cross-functional partners in a remote work setting to resolve accounting issues and support business needs.
