POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Training and Research Manager, this position serves as the primary administrator for the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS). They are responsible for all daily system operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for internal users. The position is also responsible for helping to maintain FDLE’s accreditation, policy, and training compliance. Additionally, the role oversees the administration of the agency’s external online training efforts to support officer mandatory retraining requirements.

As a member of a law enforcement agency, the position may be designated as essential during critical incidents or disasters, requiring availability outside normal business hours. The role operates under the direction of the Bureau of Professional Development supervisor and ensures adherence to FDLE policies and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

• Creating, updating, and achieving user accounts,
• Managing user group/agency reporting structure;
• Managing system permission at all levels;
• Creating, updating, and achieving courses/certificates/sessions for BPD and other bureaus that need assistance;
• Generating policy and training related reports as necessary;
• Managing and resolving LMS technical support issues, as well as general information inquiries from training coordinators and internal members;
• Training and maintaining divisional/regional training coordinator contacts
• Managing the FDLE’s accreditation and policy training compliance;
• Managing the online mandatory retraining for external learners and agencies; and
• Assists with internal and external website maintenance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system;
• Knowledge of methods of data collection;
• Knowledge of the principles of human behavior, learning and communication;
• Ability to compile and analyze data related to the development of training programs;
• Ability to coordinate research;
• Ability to develop new methods and techniques of training;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;
• Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policy and procedures related to the development of training programs; and
• Ability to prepare professional papers, research studies and reports.

BASE SALARY:

• $53,917.24

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
