Special Education (SPED) Teacher – Resource Room
Zion, IL School Year: August 17, 2026 – May 27, 2027
- A full‑time, in‑person SPED Resource Room Teacher position in Zion, IL, requiring an active PEL.
Position Overview
A district in Zion, Illinois is seeking a qualified SPED Teacher to serve as a Resource Room Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, targeted interventions, and collaboration with school staff.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction in a resource room setting
- Support students in meeting IEP goals through individualized and small‑group instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers, case managers, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
- Copy of PEL must be submitted with application
- Experience in special education or resource room settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

- Full‑time, approximately 33.25 hours per week
