Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, in-person contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering consistent hours each week in a supportive school setting near Zion, IL. The role focuses on fostering a positive, inclusive environment where every learner can succeed.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Professional Educator License (PEL); please be prepared to provide a current copy during the application process
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher or in a related educational support capacity
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation in resource room settings
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering independence and academic growth among students with diverse learning needs

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students in the resource room, adapting content to their unique learning profiles
• Engage in direct teaching, co-teaching, and collaborative planning with general education staff
• Effectively manage a caseload, facilitating IEP meetings and progress monitoring
• Build trusting relationships with students to promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines

This assignment offers a consistent, weekday schedule of approximately 33.25 hours per week during the academic year, allowing you to invest in your students’ growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
