I'm partnered with a well-established, publicly real estate company in Orlando on a new Financial Reporting Manager hire. This organization has a strong national footprint and is known for its stable portfolio, long-term growth strategy, and collaborative finance leadership team.


This is a high-impact role responsible for leading external reporting, ensuring compliance with SEC requirements, and supporting technical accounting initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They are looking for a strong senior ready to step into a management seat to oversee the functions and one direct report.


What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, and related disclosures)
• Oversee financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards
• Research and resolve complex accounting matters, including drafting position mem
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting purposesos
• Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls, and documentation
• Support external audit activities and serve as a key liaison with auditors
• Assist with implementation of new accounting standards and ensure ongoing compliance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred/plus - not required)
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience (public accounting, industry or a mix)
• Experience leading 1 or more reports - indirect or direct review or oversight of others
• Experience with SEC reporting and/or technical accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
