DST Lab Operations Specialist

Gilead seeks a DST Lab Operations Specialist to manage laboratory equipment, infrastructure, and shared resources supporting high-throughput screening and assay development. The role bridges scientific teams and operational partners to optimize equipment availability, oversee asset lifecycle management, and maintain compliance. Experience with laboratory automation and high-throughput environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory, tracking, and scheduling of laboratory equipment and shared resources
- Oversee equipment lifecycle including procurement, installation, maintenance, and retirement
- Provide operational leadership and support for safe, efficient laboratory workflows
- Support budget development and procurement activities for consumables and supplies
- Collaborate with Research Operations, Facilities, and EHS to maintain infrastructure
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment maintenance practices
- Experience with laboratory automation systems and robotics platforms
- Familiarity with laboratory operations software and information management systems
- Experience in laboratory operations, asset management, or equipment lifecycle oversight
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, compliance regulations, and industry best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
