About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President for IT and AI Governance to spearhead the development and implementation of enterprise technology governance frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that these frameworks are in alignment with industry standards and regulatory best practices. This includes leading the governance of IT and AI in accordance with NIST, SCF, NYDFS, and other relevant guidelines, as well as partnering with Model Risk Management to meet SR 11-7 and OCC/Fed requirements. The role involves the identification, assessment, and monitoring of IT and AI risks, as well as the development and maintenance of associated policies, standards, and procedures. The AVP will also be tasked with defining AI governance standards for vendors, establishing KPIs and KRIs, and advising on the responsible adoption of AI. Applicants for this position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in IT governance, risk management, or a related area, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards, proficiency in IT governance, risk, and compliance tools, and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity principles. The role also requires the ability to align governance with IT and digital transformation strategy and to lead and develop an IT governance team.
