• Metal spinning: axially symmetric components up to 180" swing capacity, in materials from aluminum to titanium and Inconel

• Hydroforming: sheet hydroforming at pressures up to 10,000 PSI for complex, seamless geometries

• CNC machining: tight-tolerance finishes on spun and hydroformed components, up to 5-axis

• Tooling and fixturing: custom tooling with fast turnaround for prototyping and production

Role description

Business Development Representative – Industrial | Lombard, IL | Full-time, on-site

Help grow Helander by finding, qualifying, and winning new precision metal forming business. You’ll work inbound and outbound leads, own our CRM, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to get customers from first contact to purchase order. You’ll also be the day-to-day contact for our marketing partner and help run our account-based marketing program.

What you’ll do

• Explain Helander’s capabilities and value in clear, customer-focused terms
• Respond to inbound leads and run outbound, account-based prospecting into aerospace, defense, and industrial accounts
• Qualify opportunities and hand them off cleanly to quoting
• Own the CRM: accurate contacts, accounts, pipeline, and activity
• Coordinate and execute marketing activities such as campaigns, trade shows, and website lead follow-up, within strategy and budget set by the CEO
• Coordinate internally so customers get a smooth experience through order placement
• Report weekly on pipeline and marketing activity, and help improve our sales process

What you bring

• 3+ years of B2B sales or business development, ideally in manufacturing or industrial sales
• Strong communication, with the ability to present technical capabilities clearly
• Comfort reading prints and learning technical product details
• CRM discipline and proficiency with standard office software
• Strong organization and the ability to juggle multiple opportunities at once

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience coordinating marketing programs or working with an outside agency
• Account-based marketing experience
• Aerospace, defense, or ITAR customer experience

Our work involves ITAR-controlled data. Candidates must be able to work with it as a U.S. person.

Pay and benefits

Pay: $62,400 to $80,000 per year, based on experience. Non-exempt, overtime-eligible. No bonus or commission.
