Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator is a hands-on position suited for an individual who is a quick learner; who can assist with increasing Hearth’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. Reporting to the Development Director, the Coordinator will contribute to Hearth’s mission by strengthening relationships with donors, partners, and the community.The ideal candidate will be one who brings the desired experience and a positive attitude. This role requires real strength in social media marketing and development operations. Strong CRM and website management experience and aptitude required. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage operations of fundraising campaigns to secure financial support for Hearth Inc.'s programs and initiatives. Assist with identification, cultivation, and stewardship of individual donors to maximize contributions and sustain long-term support. Responsible for gift entry and acknowledgment via our donor CRM, Raiser’s Edge NXT. Monitor other giving platforms like Network for Good and Benevity. Be the first line of inquiry for donor requests related to gift entry and acknowledgment. Advocate for social justice. Develop written content to promote Hearth Inc.'s mission and impact Assist team with the creation and production of collateral materials. Manage social media content and posting (X, BlueSky, Facebook, Instagram) through our social media platform, Fedica. This will also include active engagement, such as replying to comments, liking/sharing partner posts, and more. Manage Hearth website using the WordPress platform. The ideal candidate will be able to add publications to site, build new pages, complete SEO analysis and improvements, and complete any necessary back-end updates. Stay up to date with the latest social media, marketing, and website best practices, tools, and trends to continuously improve our social media presence. Work with program staff to identify resident/client stories for publication. This role will include drafting and editing pieces to help share the mission of Hearth. Attend volunteer and community events to capture and edit photographs and video for Hearth marketing efforts. Help team coordinate logistics for fundraising and special events, including maintaining guest lists, emails, preparing registration materials, and liaising with vendors and post program follow up. Deploying digital assets across platforms and collateral Initiates e-mails, text message campaigns, social banners and on-line advertising. Develop quarterly analytical reports to track growth metrics, identify successes, and modify tactics or overall strategy according to a metric-based approach. Provide general administrative support to the department and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background. 2 to 4 years of demonstrated experience in a nonprofit fundraising department or in a relevant administrative role with compatible skills and experience. Experience required in website design, management, and hosting. WordPress, WP Engine, and other CMS experience preferred. Experience with email communication systems like Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar programs is necessary. Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Comfort with digital video and photo programs. Design experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Familiarity and comfort with databases and/or CRM software. Raiser’s Edge NXT experience preferred. Experience tracking website performance, with familiarity in Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console ideal. Strong personal work ethic with the ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision. Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Experience with databases and general comfort with technology. Self-starter with good judgment, critical thinking, flexibility, resourcefulness, and creative problem-solving abilities. Interest in implementing new systems and strategies to strengthen the organization. Experience in using AI-enabled systems and workflows a plus.
