Development Associate

Serve as the primary liaison for the Chief Development & Marketing Officer, managing and prioritizing incoming requests Draft and edit talking points, briefing documents, presentations, and correspondence for development leadership Manage meeting scheduling, travel and meeting itineraries, and administrative needs Support Board of Trustees and senior leadership meeting materials and follow-up Represent the CDMO in select meetings when appropriate Assist with cross-departmental initiatives, campaign projects, and donor stewardship efforts Monitor project milestones, decisions, action items, and departmental deadlines Coordinate strategic initiatives across development functions Translate organizational goals into measurable work plans Facilitate strategic planning sessions and track departmental progress Evaluate workflows and identify resource efficiencies and process enhancements Maintain master calendars, reporting schedules, and performance dashboards Evaluate fundraising metrics, analyze performance, and identify growth trends Synthesize data into reports and presentations for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and key funders Requirements Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field 1–3 years of experience in development, project coordination, administrative support, or related roles Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred Proven experience organizing complex projects, managing multiple deadlines simultaneously, and coordinating across diverse teams Comfort working with data analysis and basic reporting tools Familiarity with fundraising systems and CRMs, such as Salesforce, is highly desirable Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational instincts and discretion Proven ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organization Core Competencies Demonstrates strong project coordination and administrative support capabilities, with a focus on managing complex projects, data analysis, and effective communication.
