Logistics Specialist

The Logistics Specialist will manage customer accounts and daily operations including shipment tendering through final paperwork. A successful Specialist will develop strategies and build relationships with customers and carriers that will optimize supply chain efficiency, increase reliability, and minimize costs. The role is highly relationship oriented, operational, and analytical. Duties And Responsibilities Plan and schedule transportation for inbound and outbound shipments Act as the main point of contact for customers providing proactive communication over the phone, via email, and in person as necessary Provide customers with shipment information and ensure changes to orders are acknowledged and acted upon in a timely manner Provide quick and effective solutions to resolve transportation delays and complications Assist with shipment documentation including BOLs, labels, and invoices Work effectively and collaboratively with all departments and team members Utilize Transportation Management Systems to track shipment operations, communications, and develop weekly/monthly reports and data analysis Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategic solutions with customers and carriers Experience And Qualifications High School Diploma Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, business, supply chain, or engineering is highly preferred Minimum 1-year third‑party logistics experience preferred Minimum 1-year sales and/or customer service experience preferred Experience conducting business over the phone highly preferred Knowledge And Skills Superb verbal and written communication, strong professional phone presence Proven ability to work independently and be a team player in a fast‑paced environment Strong negotiation and persuasive skills Sense of urgency when resolving customer issues Attention to detail without sacrificing accuracy Ability to problem‑solve and manage multiple tasks in a high‑stress environment while hitting KPIs Strong people skills including ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers Determination and tenacity with a strong work ethic, self‑motivation, and sales drive Benefits And Perks Paid Industry Training On‑Site Gym (Indianapolis, Chattanooga, Birmingham, Fort Worth) Comprehensive Benefits Packet (Medical, Vision, Dental) Company Provided Life Insurance + Optional Additional Policy 401(k) with Company Match or Gradifi Student Loan Repayment Assistance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Health and Wellness Program Paid PTO and Holidays + Unlimited PTO Policy on 1-Year Anniversary Free Onsite Parking Business Casual Dress Code Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Location: On Site Fort Worth, TX office FitzMark provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
