Position Overview As Unboxed Group scales its most ambitious projects yet, we're looking for a seasoned, sharp, and unflappable Senior Producer to lead the charge from concept to curtain call. This role is built for someone who has been around the block enough to anticipate what's coming, move fast when it does, and never let it show on their face. As a Senior Producer, you'll be the operational backbone of our highest-profile productions — owning budgets, vendors, timelines, and on-site execution while keeping every stakeholder aligned and every moving part on track. You'll work closely with internal teams, clients, and creative leads to translate big ideas into airtight plans, making real-time decisions with confidence and holding the standard when the pressure is highest. Job Responsibilities Lead complex, high-profile projects from initial planning through final reconciliation, ensuring timelines, deliverables, budgets, and client expectations are consistently achieved. Develop and oversee comprehensive production schedules, workback plans, project trackers, call sheets, and operational documentation that support successful project delivery. Anticipate production risks, scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and scope changes early, implementing proactive solutions that protect project success and profitability. Lead production meetings by facilitating strategic discussions, aligning stakeholders, assigning action items, and driving accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Direct cross-functional collaboration between Production, Creative, Operations, Finance, Account, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless execution across multiple concurrent projects. Independently manage multiple large-scale or high-complexity projects while balancing competing priorities and maintaining exceptional organization, communication, and execution. Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, venues, freelancers, and production partners that support Unboxed’s quality standards and long-term production capabilities. Lead vendor sourcing, bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and scope development while balancing creative objectives, operational requirements, and financial performance. Oversee vendor agreements, onboarding, insurance requirements, payment documentation, and production logistics throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate vendor performance and continuously strengthen Unboxed’s network of trusted production partners. Resolve complex vendor challenges through sound judgment, negotiation, and decisive problem solving while maintaining productive working relationships. Budget & Financial Management Own complex project budgets from initial estimate through final reconciliation, maintaining full accountability for financial performance and project profitability. Monitor project financial health by forecasting costs, managing scope changes, identifying budget risks, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Develop budget strategies that balance creative ambition, client expectations, operational feasibility, and business objectives. Review invoices, purchase orders, reconciliations, and financial documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely project closeout. Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency while maintaining the quality and integrity of the client experience. Client & Internal Communication Serve as the senior production lead for assigned clients, building trusted relationships through consistent execution, proactive communication, and sound production leadership. Lead communication between Production, Creative, Operations, Finance, Account, vendors, and clients to maintain alignment throughout every stage of production. Facilitate client meetings by presenting production strategies, timelines, budgets, operational plans, project updates, and recommended solutions with confidence and professionalism. Anticipate client needs, navigate changing priorities, and resolve complex production challenges while maintaining strong client relationships. Identify opportunities to expand project scopes or strengthen long-term client partnerships through exceptional service and production expertise. Production Planning & On-Site Execution Lead production planning across all phases of assigned projects, including staffing strategies, schedules, run of show documents, site logistics, technical planning, credentials, signage, and operational materials. Direct production activities during load-in, event execution, and strike while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, efficiency, and overall project success. Oversee staffing logistics, vendor coordination, production schedules, and real-time operational communications throughout live events. Make independent production decisions in dynamic environments while effectively managing operational challenges, shifting priorities, and evolving client needs. Ensure all project documentation—including releases, invoices, receipts, vendor paperwork, timecards, and closeout materials—is complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule. Delegate project coordination responsibilities appropriately while maintaining full ownership of project execution and client satisfaction. Process Improvement & Quality Standards Maintain production documentation, operational systems, file structures, trackers, and workflows that support efficient execution across all assigned projects. Ensure project deliverables and documentation consistently meet Unboxed production standards for quality, organization, and accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve production workflows, operational processes, documentation standards, and project execution across the department. Contribute to the development and refinement of scalable production systems, tools, templates, and best practices that improve consistency and operational excellence. Partner on proposals, pitches, and RFP responses by providing strategic production guidance, budgeting expertise, scheduling recommendations, and operational feasibility assessments. Uphold Unboxed production standards while serving as a trusted production resource through sound judgment, accountability, professionalism, and consistent delivery of exceptional work. Additional Requirements Up to 25% domestic travel expected. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours based on event schedules. Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, standing/walking for onsite work, lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds and occasionally heavier items. While working onsite, must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed. Must have a personal vehicle for occasional local travel — mileage compensation provided.
