Business Development Executive

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to drive the growth of our personal lines business by managing and converting provided leads into new business opportunities. Please note that all leads are supplied, meaning this role does not involve cold calling. Key Responsibilities: Engage with company-provided leads, develop relationships, and assess insurance needs to offer suitable personal lines solutions. Convert leads into new business by presenting and selling tailored personal insurance products. Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients to ensure a smooth onboarding process and high satisfaction. Stay informed about insurance products, market trends, and industry developments to provide expert advice. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to implement strategies for achieving sales targets and expanding the client base. Track and report on sales activities, lead conversion rates, and performance updates to the General Manager. Address client inquiries promptly and resolve issues to ensure retention and a positive experience. Requirements: Matric Relevant underwriting or insurance certifications (e.g. NQF Level 4, RE5) are advantageous Strong analytical and decision-making skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Deep understanding of personal insurance products and underwriting principles High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing documents and data Attributes: Detail-oriented Proactive Customer-focused, and a collaborative team player.
