Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and executing diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, ensuring that each plan is tailored to meet the unique needs of the patient.
• Perform procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as wound suturing or abscess drainage, under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Provide patient education on a range of topics including medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to promote overall health and wellness.
• Maintain meticulous medical records that document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care, assuring compliance with regulatory standards and the clinic’s policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population of all ages, from children to the elderly, presenting a variety of acute medical conditions. The urgent care setting demands quick decision-making to address issues such as injuries, infections, and chronic illness exacerbations effectively. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
