Basic Job Functions:

Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded effective communicator to join our team. The NTS Buyer will be responsible for order placement as well as refining processes and procedures to support procurement initiatives including MRO, capital projects, raw material and outside processing. This position will serve as the business unit subject matter expert in support of a new ERP system and purchasing transactions, reporting and analysis.


This position will be in Rock Hill, SC but may require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis.


Nucor Towers & Structures: Is part of Nucor's Expand Beyond initiative. NTS builds transmission towers that is critical for Americas future infrastructure.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher
• Commitment to safety; actively involved in safety initiatives
• Experience utilizing ERP systems
• Experience with process documentation and process improvement
• Experience with customer or supplier development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or higher
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
• Experience in Procurement, Outside Processing, Production Planning and Scheduling
• Experience with D365
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
