Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will engage in a variety of essential activities, including:

• Conducting initial patient evaluations to assess mobility factors and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions based on evidence-informed practices to enhance efficacy.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously through electronic health record systems.
• Providing direct patient care in both clinic settings and home environments, ensuring continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve treating a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic issues, but also extending to pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine cases. Every day, you will be entrusted with guiding individuals through their recovery from surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. With a patient-centered approach, your goal will be to empower patients in their healing journey by setting achievable goals and celebrating milestones in rehabilitation.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the following qualifications are necessary:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active State License in Physical Therapy in New York.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy practice.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proven computer proficiency, particularly in electronic documentation and therapy management systems.
• The ability to forge strong patient relationships and cultivate an atmosphere of trust and respect.

Preferred Experience
