Work Environment

In this role, you will operate mainly in patients' homes, where you will create a safe and comfortable space for therapy. The hours are Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options between 9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM, allowing you to collaborate closely with patients in their familiar surroundings. This onsite work setting offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients as they progress in their recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic treatment plans customized to each patient's unique needs, focusing on mobility improvement, strengthening exercises, pain reduction, and functional restoration.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients' physical conditions and establish clear goals for rehabilitation.
• Utilize a diverse range of treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as stretching and massage therapy.
• Engage in clinical teaching by mentoring physical therapy students, interns, and staff, helping them enhance their skills and knowledge in orthopedic therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patients' health outcomes and share insights regarding their progress and challenges.
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate findings effectively in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be treating clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse group of patients across different age brackets, requiring personalized approaches to their rehabilitation process. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in improving their quality of life and restoring their independence.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license issued in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably with an orthopedic focus.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, demonstrated through effective patient management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in documenting patient care and treatment plans comprehensively.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred, showcasing advanced expertise in this specialty.
• Experience in a home care setting or familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation practices is beneficial.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
