Step into a vital role as a contract Secondary English Language Arts teacher guiding students in a supportive, engaging ELA classroom environment. The position runs from mid-August through late May and is conveniently located onsite near Wetumpka, AL. You'll have an impact on students’ academic development while collaborating with colleagues in a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification in English (secondary level)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with proper endorsement
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to build rapport with diverse student populations
• Familiarity with integrating technology into lessons to promote 21st-century learning skills

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a classroom setting that encourages learning and supports personal growth
• Develop engaging lesson plans to foster essential ELA skills, attitudes, and knowledge
• Motivate and challenge students to reach their highest potential
• Incorporate educational technology to enrich lessons and student engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, peers, volunteers, and school visitors
• Adapt and perform additional duties as assigned by the school principal
