Community Support Specialist

Overview NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In various community-based settings, we offer programs including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, military service members and veterans. Requirements American Sign Language fluent – Level 2 or higher Not a role for ASL interpreters Valid driver’s license from state of residence Background check clearance High school diploma or GED equivalent Compensation Base pay $18.75 per hour plus additional pay for ASL and other certifications. Wages for ASL Level 2 begin at $19.75 per hour. Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 2:00 pm (27.5 hours per week). Responsibilities Provide training, assistance and supervision to individuals receiving care in living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in residential and community settings. Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration. Facilitate working relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings or providing transportation to work or other activities. Work closely with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. ASL fluent – Level 2 or higher; not an interpreter role. Valid driver’s license. Successful clearance of background checks. A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others.
