Responsibilities

• Handle non-standardized and varied procurements including construction contracts.
• Develop contract specifications for complex procurements and conduct negotiations.
• Resolve technical issues, coordinate with multiple end users, and address contract disputes or problems.
• Provide technical guidance to section staff on procurement requirements.
• Plan and conduct a broad range of responsibilities independently, working on analytical, non-standardized, and widely varied tasks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in acquisition management, project management, acquisition governance, and policy or related fields.
• Demonstrated in acquisition management, project management, acquisition governance, and policy or related fields.
• Excellent analytical ability, oral, and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, economics, mathematics, English, government, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of contracting and procurement regulations, laws, practices, principles, policies, standards, and regulations.
• Experience with government and commercial statutes, regulations, contracting principles, best practices, and solicitations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and compose written materials of moderate to complex difficulty on procurement issues.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility with onsite hours and availability for certain meetings.
