Position Summary The Enrollment Services Resource Analyst [Administrative Analyst/Specialist II] serves as a trusted resource for budget administration, business operations, resource planning, and administrative process improvement. This position combines strategic financial analysis with hands‑on operational support, helping ensure Enrollment Services and its staff have the resources, systems, and processes needed to deliver exceptional service to students. Success in this role requires strong analytical and financial management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate across campus to develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, accountability, and organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead complex budget administration across multiple funding sources by developing forecasts, monitoring expenditures, analyzing financial trends, preparing executive reports, and ensuring compliance with university policies and fiscal regulations. Serve as the primary fiscal and administrative resource for Enrollment Services leadership by providing strategic financial analysis, resource planning recommendations, and operational insights that support informed decision‑making and long‑term organizational goals. Evaluate, develop, and improve business processes and administrative procedures that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, ensure policy compliance, and improve service delivery across Enrollment Services. Coordinate cross‑functional projects and operational initiatives involving campus partners, helping implement process improvements, resolve complex administrative issues, and support divisional priorities. Oversee a broad range of administrative operations, including procurement, travel, personnel transactions, records management, systems access, and business continuity while providing guidance and procedural support to department staff. Assess organizational and resource needs by analyzing financial, operational, technological, and administrative data to recommend solutions that optimize resource utilization and improve overall effectiveness. Coordinate facilities‑related projects, workspace planning, and departmental resource needs while serving as the liaison with Facilities Services and other campus partners to support efficient department operations. Position Information Full-time, benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. Position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego following a training period during which on‑site presence is required. Department Summary Enrollment Services supports students throughout their SDSU journey, from recruitment and admission through graduation. The division includes Admissions, the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Outreach and Recruitment, Strategic Partnerships, International Recruitment, Class Scheduling, Communications, and the Cal Coast Student Financial Center, all working together to provide a seamless and student‑focused enrollment experience. Within Enrollment Services, the Office of Admissions oversees undergraduate and graduate admissions processes for a diverse applicant population, including first‑year, transfer, graduate, international, and student‑athlete applicants. The Graduate Admissions Unit plays a vital role in processing and evaluating graduate applications, maintaining student records, coordinating application reviews with academic departments, and ensuring qualified students are successfully admitted to SDSU’s graduate programs. Education and Experience Requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Key Qualifications Strong background in budgeting, financial management, forecasting, and fiscal administration. Ability to analyze financial and operational data to develop practical business recommendations. Experience managing complex budgets, multiple funding sources, and financial management systems. Knowledge of business operations, administrative practices, and applicable policies and regulations. Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities and implement effective business solutions. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing financial analyses, reports, and recommendations. Ability to build collaborative relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, and campus partners. Experience providing guidance, training, or leadership to support teams and operational success. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial systems, along with a commitment to improving business processes and operational efficiency. Compensation CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,797.00–$8,445.00/month; hiring salary not expected to exceed $5,797.00/month.
