San Diego State University is seeking a Training Program Analyst to shape the learning experiences that support business and financial operations across campus. In this role, you'll collaborate with campus partners to develop engaging training programs, improve business processes, and help the University successfully implement new systems and initiatives. As a key member of the Audit & Continuous Improvement team, you'll support enterprise-wide training, organizational readiness, knowledge management, and change management efforts. Key Responsibilities Design and coordinate enterprise training programs that support business systems, onboarding, and professional development. Partner with campus stakeholders to support organizational readiness and successful implementation of new systems and processes. Manage training initiatives by coordinating learning resources, business process documentation, and knowledge management efforts across campus. Evaluate program effectiveness, gather stakeholder feedback, and recommend improvements that enhance learning and operational excellence. Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is eligible for telecommuting up to 2 days per week, following a training period during which on-site presence is required. Department Summary San Diego State University is a dynamic and exciting organization and is one of 22 campuses in the California State University (CSU) System. The Division of Business and Financial Affairs (BFA) is at the heart of some of the larger projects on campus in recent years, including the construction of Snapdragon Stadium, as well as the implementation of my.SDSU. As part of BFA, the Department of Financial Operations is responsible for the financial and budgetary controls and procedures of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs. The Associate Vice President for Financial Operations has responsibility for Audit & Continuous Improvement, Budget and Finance, Division Care, Procure-to-Pay, Shared Services, and the University Controller's Office, which includes the University Bursar’s Office, Tax, Accounting Services, Financial Reporting, and Financial Systems Management and Analysis. The Audit & Continuous Improvement department serves as the center of excellence for audit, compliance, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. The department manages non-GAAP compliance and programmatic audit activities and serves as the university liaison for audit engagements with the State of California, the California State University, the U.S. Department of Education, and other governing bodies and funding agencies, ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with university policies and regulatory requirements. In partnership with campus stakeholders, the department also leads initiatives that strengthen business operations through business process improvement, organizational change management, enterprise training, knowledge management, and process standardization, integrating audit findings, operational assessments, and best practices to improve efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, compliance, customer service, and the successful adoption of university business systems and administrative initiatives. Education and Experience Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Key Qualifications Experience with organizational change management and enterprise system implementations. Experience developing training programs, instructional materials, and business process documentation. Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise business systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, CSUBUY/Jaggaer, Concur, CHRS, or similar ERP systems). Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Education, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience supporting enterprise system implementations and organizational change initiatives. Experience developing and delivering training programs in a higher education or public sector environment. Experience with CSU financial or human resource systems, including PeopleSoft CFS, CSUBUY (Jaggaer), Concur, Campus Solutions, or CHRS. Experience with business process improvement and project management methodologies. Compensation Salary is based on your experience, education, and qualifications, within the department’s budget and equity guidelines. CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,797–$8,445/month; hiring salary not expected to exceed $5,797/month .
