Principal Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 10+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We need advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• We need strong experience with DevEx and CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
• We need a solid understanding of cloud security best practices, shift-left approaches, and DevSecOps processes.
• We need strong programming skills in Golang or Python, along with sound software development practices.
• We need proficiency with cloud infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform, KRO, or Crossplane.
• We need experience with logging and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• We need a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure design, architecture, and migration strategies.
• We need demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted coding workflows, including LLM-powered development tools, spec-driven development methods, and prompt engineering for software engineering use cases.
• A masters degree in a related field and certifications in cloud, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code technologies are preferred.
• Experience implementing multi-cloud architectures and leading end-to-end platform development efforts is preferred.
• Background in designing and developing scalable AI/ML or data platforms is preferred.
• Experience with automation and workflow orchestration for operational efficiency is preferred.
• Published contributions to open-source or industry-recognized projects are preferred.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and MCP servers/integrations at scale using frameworks such as Google ADK, Anthropic SDKs, and standard agent orchestration tooling is preferred.
• Experience enhancing AI-powered coding ecosystems with enterprise-specific tooling to improve developer productivity and platform engineering workflows is preferred.

• We drive adoption of modern developer experience practices and evolve CI/CD and developer tooling to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
• We align platform strategy and roadmaps with business priorities and lead cross-functional efforts to modernize SDLC practices.
• We assess, integrate, and govern strategic tools to reduce cognitive load and strengthen developer experience.
• We partner with development teams to identify and remove platform bottlenecks.
• We define and promote paved paths and self-service workflows to simplify developer processes.
• We implement real-time telemetry pipelines and workflows for large-scale platform observability and analytics.
• We champion adoption of tools that improve developer productivity through documentation, training, office hours, and close engagement with the developer community.
• We standardize AI-assisted coding tools and AI-powered development ecosystems to accelerate workflows, code generation, and engineering productivity across the organization.
• We contribute to the design and development of AI agents and Model Context Protocol integrations using frameworks built on top of Google ADK, Anthropic SDKs, and related tooling to enable intelligent, scalable platform automation.
