Maintenance Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians for projects located in or around Columbus, OH . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Perform residential maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep

• Complete interior and exterior repairs such as drywall patching, painting, fixture replacement, and basic appliance servicing

• Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing issues, including leaks, drains, and fixture replacements

• Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures

• Complete general carpentry work including repairs to doors, trim, cabinets, drywall, and hardware

• Maintain exterior property conditions through lawn care, landscaping, gutter cleaning, and seasonal snow removal

• Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns

• Prepare units for new occupants, including cleaning, painting, lock changes, and minor repairs

• Perform preventative maintenance including HVAC filter changes, smoke detector testing, and weatherproofing

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules

• Ensure properties remain safe, functional, and compliant with local housing requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of residential property maintenance experience

• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Franklin County residents preferred

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to type at least 36 WPM

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and service providers
