Senior Backend Software Developer

To support a government contract, the remote Senior Backend Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservice applications while leveraging Python and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS. Key responsibilities Design and maintain highly scalable microservice applications, including secure user authentication systems Lead backend service development using Python frameworks and manage database migrations with SQLAlchemy and Alembic Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as ECS, ECR, and Fargate Required qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in building and deploying microservice applications Expert-level proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic Proven experience deploying backend microservices using AWS tools like ECS or EKS Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database design and administration Bachelor's degree is required Virtual Vocations Inc
