As a Vice President within J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Structuring team, your primary responsibility will be to support senior members within the Corporate Structuring team and interface with professionals within the Corporate Derivatives Marketing (CDM) and Capital Markets financing groups to develop and originate differentiated solutions to achieve client objectives. Ideal candidates for this role should exhibit creativity, strong work ethic, an ability to partner seamlessly across different teams and various levels of seniority, and maintain a client-centric mindset. The Corporate Structuring role requires close collaboration with the CDM team to deliver tailored interest rate and foreign exchange hedging solutions to the firm’s corporate clients.

This role requires an understanding and practical knowledge of the application of U.S. GAAP guidance to financing and derivatives transactions. Qualified candidates also should have a strong understanding of regression and other quantitative analysis. Knowledge of IFRS is a plus given the global scope of the Corporate Structuring platform.

Qualified candidates ideally should have at least 5 years of “Big 4” accounting firm or similar experience focused on accounting, corporate finance, and financial instruments in a client-facing role and/or similar experience supporting corporate derivatives and Capital Markets businesses at investment banks.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Support Corporate Structuring, CDM and Capital Markets professional `s in transaction structuring and origination, as well as providing thought leadership to clients both on an individual and broad-based level
• Prepare customized pitch books and various analyses for client meetings
• Assist with client updates, internal and external communication related to accounting, regulatory and industry developments
• Develop and tailor regression / analytical models to assist with pitching of novel / more bespoke transaction solutions
• Proactively identify opportunities to engage with clients that address specific needs or fact patterns present within their business / corporate structure
• Partner with Banking, Trading, Credit, Structuring, and other internal partners around prosecuting potential transactions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• A strong interest in global financial markets is essential, as are analytical and quantitative skills, flexibility, teamwork, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure and enjoy a collaborative environment
• Experience evaluating economics of and accounting for financial instruments and financing transactions
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills
• Being adaptable, flexible, and resilient
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks concurrently and highly organized
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
• A high degree of ethics and integrity
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, and active CPA license (or CFA charter)
