Roles & Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Generation

• Prospect and qualify new business leads across event floral installations and recurring account verticals through cold outreach, referral cultivation, and inbound inquiry management

• Research and identify target clients including restaurants, hotels, hospitality groups, event venues, wedding planners, corporate event teams, and other prospective accounts

• Maintain and grow a pipeline of active prospects using CRM tools

• Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as appropriate

Proposals, Quoting & Closing

• Coordinate with the principal and design team to develop accurate, compelling proposals and quotes tailored to each client's scope and budget

• Present proposals to prospective clients and lead negotiations through to signed agreement

• Secure contracts and collect deposits in accordance with engagement terms

• Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and deal status

Client Relations & Account Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial engagement through project close

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention, referrals, and account growth

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure client expectations are met throughout the engagement lifecycle

• Conduct post-project follow-up to solicit feedback and identify future opportunities

Coordination & Operations

• Liaise with event planners, wedding planners, venue coordinators, and other third-party intermediaries involved in sourcing or executing engagements

• Track and communicate key project milestones, deadlines, and payment schedules

• Support the scheduling and logistics of client-facing meetings and site visits

• Maintain organized records of active accounts, prospect lists, and engagement history

Compensation & Work Arrangement

• Pay: $35.00/hour, non-exempt (hourly, overtime-eligible)

• Schedule: Full-time

• Location: Office-based in Chelsea, Manhattan (just south of the Flower District); remote flexibility on select days subject to manager approval

• Travel: Some travel within the New York City metro area required for client meetings and site visits

• This role reports to the Owner & CEO
